#一切都是最好的安排 *2024已完成剩餘路段 2024 PCT GEAR LIST 裝備清單 & 行程安排 https://reurl.cc/5d7n7z ---------------------- In 2019, at the age of 30, we got married and moved into a new house. Almost everyone thought we were going to settle down. Instead, we left our job and our new house for our first long-distance thru-hike, also our "honeymoon". 165 days on the Pacific Crest Trail is not only a physical or mental challenge, we also put our marriage to test. We went all the way north from Mexico border to Stevens Pass, total of 2474 miles. Due to the early winter and snowstorms, we had to finish our hike earlier. Only 178.7 miles to the border, we decided to hike back 10 miles to Skykomish. It’s not easy to complete a thru-hike, especially in 2019. We had to learn how to confront and safely deal with uncomfortable extremes of weather and terrain conditions. It’s all about SNOW. It's hard to imagine what we have been through. Is it life-changing? Yes, it’s life-changing. But it’s not just because of the trail itself, it’s about the people we met, trail towns, and most importantly, our choices. We passed the test of heatwaves, snow-covered passes, creek, and river crossing, fallen logs, mosquito clouds, overgrown bushes, wasps attacks, lightning and thunderstorms, wildfires, rainstorms, snowstorms, and fearmongers... I thought nothing could stop us until the September rain and snow. It’s full of pain, tears, stress, and struggle. From the beginning, I have no idea why I’m here, what I’m going to do with my life after, and what I will learn from the trail. Everything is like a mystery puzzle that you are never gonna finish. After all the struggles, we finally reached Washington. But Washington had different plans for us. It gave us a whole new challenge when it suddenly became a winter wonderland. After reviewing our winter gear and our state of mind, we decided to keep going together. It’s weird that we are so close to Canada and yet feel so so far away. We decided not to put on our frozen shoes again. Not to risk our lives to just be there. This is already the craziest honeymoon and the best time of my life. Thanks to those who gave us rides from trailhead to town, and those who provided trail magic. Thanks to all the people we met on/off the trail. Especially Northbound hikers who hiked around us since Southern California, Sierra, VVR, and Sierra City. We couldn’t have made it this far without these amazing people. Thanks Henry and Cascadia Inn made us feel at home. I still believe that everything happens for a reason. Washington, we’ll be back for you. Cheers 🥂 🍻 PCT class of 2019.
