PHANTOM, the new fragrance for men by Paco Rabanne

Step into the Paco Galaxy and join an intergalactic party where everyone is invited. Where you can be whoever you want to be. No matter who you are. No matter which planet you come from.

The essence of self-confidence fueled by feel good energies.

A futuristic aromatic fragrance born from the clash between luxury craftmanship and new-tech.Using a cutting-edge creative process to select ingredients to make you feel energized, powerfully confident and sexy.

A bold scent with notes of addictive creamy lavender, fusing energizing lemon and sexy woody vanilla.

Radically different, totally disruptive: PHANTOM is our first connected bottle ever. Tap your phone on its top, and take off with your new wingman!

A bold invitation to step outside the ordinary and celebrate life. 1000% feel-good. 1000% Paco Rabanne.

PHANTOM, beyond perfumery: human emotion, boosted by A.I., crafted in Grasse

How does that work? By matching the luxury craftsmanship of perfumery with new tech. To conceive PHANTOM, Paco Rabanne assembled a dream team of four top-notch perfumers from IFF: Loc Dong for his crazy creativity, Juliette Karagueuzoglou for her exquisite knowledge of natural material, along with the Master Perfumers Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo for their ability to fine-tune most powerful, long-lasting fragrances ever created by Paco Rabanne.

Their mission: to conceive a feel-good perfume that boosts your sexiness, confidence, and energy. Their super-power: Augmented Creativity, a cutting-edge creative process that uses A.I. to enhance human inspiration and galvanize creativity, applied to perfumery for the first time ever for Paco Rabanne.

Augmented Creativity allowed the quartet to reach beyond their know-how and artistic sensibility. To experiment with unexpected scent pairings. To select the exact ingredients that stimulate sensations of sexiness, confidence, and energy; and fine-tune their dosages.

So, what does it smell like? A match. A clash. A mind-bending, addictive aromatic scent combining an energizing green flash of lemon with ultra-creamy lavender.

The secret ingredient boosting the energy of the lemon accord is a fantastic “vintage” molecule; styrallyl acetate. Scientific measures show that its radiant green fruity facets activate a sense of energy. In PHANTOM, the man-made material is combined with lush natural materials. Zesty lemon peel oil from Italy. Patchouli heart, a slightly smoky earthy note with an apple twist. And a streamlined woody note: vetiver heart.

Jumped up by that energizing green flash, lavender plays it smooth and creamy. Did we say lavender? We meant Lavender 3.0, custom-blended for Paco Rabanne to be irresistibly addictive…  Fresh lavandin heart, crafted for PHANTOM to enhance its most seductive properties. A stellar lavender oil. And organic lavandin absolute enfleurage 2.0 that brings out the ingredient’s most sensuous floral, aromatic, hay-like facets.

Wrap this Lavender 3.0 accord with sexy vanilla absolute and voilà!  Intensely feel-good. Powerfully sexy. Fantastically long-lasting. Now spray and enjoy! You’re all set to party.

The opening is a lemon synthetic smell, but the dry down i would describe as a lavender bubblegum, not a must have but it’s nice.

fragranceaddictinschool

It has this super dirty, terrible, stinky earthy note. I love earthy notes, but this was a flop.

j.andresminor

I like the fresh notes all in here, but, ruined by vanilla and a dry stuff like, wood or something humid, is like there is something that doesnt match altogether, i think the vanilla is terrible here an on Le Male versions, i am sure it is not my type of scent the green notes with something sweet obvious, i like much more Fame

Dior Sausage

So this is what I've been smelling literally everywhere. The only time I've smelled anyone wearing fragrance in public they're all smelling of this loud sweet coconut smell and I couldn't figure out what it was. I suspected something from the 1 million line. Finally sampled this in store, and it's this. Everyone's wearing it.

Percell7777

I layered this with Le Beau Jean Paul Gaultier yesterday and it works a treat, if you have both give it a go. It really brings out the coconut that people are commenting on, the bergamot mixes well with the lemon it smooths it out a bit. The tonka go together on the dry down. I like them both on their own but this makes for a nice change.

lukasf

I like this and it's a fragrance I use when I'm going out to events and social gatherings.

It's bright, that lavender and citrus really come through which is supported by the vanilla in the background. I think it's a good fragrance for men 30 and under, of which I am one.

I think this fragrance works for day and night in warmer weather months, stretching into early Fall. Be careful in hot weather as this can get cloying. Best in spring.

I have it and bought it before I got really into colognes. Am I glad I have it? Yes. Would I buy another bottle when I run out, probably not.

The main thing that comes to mind with this fragrance is don't take reviews & fragrance YouTubers as gospel, i looked at the notes & they're exactly what I wanted but the bad reviews put me off. Finally bit the bullet & got a 50ml & my only regret is not getting the 100ml, sometimes a certain thing can be exactly what YOU want but not others & that's fine it'd be boring if we was all the same! But the way people have talked about this you'd think no one would like it which is just not true. The main thing seems to be "this is for teenagers" but it's a weird assumption considering Lavender is the main note & as a fairly young lad myself I know of 0 teens that would like this because of that, it's more geared to 20-30 year olds in my opinion as it's not overly complex but it's a lot more complex than most 'teen' fragrances, starts sharp & lemony, moves to vanilla & lavender with a tiny bit of apple, then it's a woody lavender drydown but the lemon is always in the background! Someone else said "if this was in a different bottle it'd be a classic" I don't necessarily agree because some people will just not like it, but I do agree that if it had a different bottle & name it'd be taken more seriously but if you're someone that judges fragrances on name & design of a bottle, you're probably not someone who should give advice on things lol

Kuquii1974

Too sweet and defo geared towards the youth. Not as bad as 1 million lucky but not far off but it's not marketed towards my generation so it's no wonder I don't like it.

ieatplasticbottlecaps

this is definitely a fragrance that exists.

KingKaris

A Lemon on a piece of hot metal. The dry down gets less cloying and you get a decent apple and vanilla.

Salfy

Idk why this gets so much hate, its not a mindblowing or game changing fragance, but it does its job, its kinda childish but its a good fresh lemon scent, perfect to go to a pool party.(Sorry if my english is bad)

applecrunchdev

the most overhated fragrance, i can agree the bottle and atomiser is straight trash but the fragrance itself is beautiful and versatile.

Mahmud10

In the Opening its a very synthetic citrucy smell and in the drydown you can smell the warm vanilla and lavender. I like the sweetness of this perfume. It doesnt last long and the sillage is moderate. I really like the Robot Bottle it looks very cool.
Overall 8/10

Anpafella

Nauticus9

The combination of lemon, lavender, and sweet vanilla creates a truly delightful aroma. It's potent without being overwhelming, unless you apply way too much. This fragrance is underrated and deserves more appreciation. I don't really get the hate behind it. With its decent strength and projection, it's a reliable fragrance and I would consider adding it to my collection.

Percell7777

Phantom gets better as it ages it seems to be more balanced after letting it sit for 3 months. Beautiful lavender vanilla and vetiver with a touch of citrus on the dry down. Trust me it does get better and lasts all day . If it was in a different bottle it wouldn’t get so much hate.

trahanj26

I've seen this scent be hated on so much online, whether it be on tiktok, forums, reddit, or here. I for one, never understood the hate.

The day I first smelled it, I knew what it could deliver. I am yet to meet a woman that does not love when I wear this. I have some of the traditionnal "compliment getters" in my collection and let me tell you that nothing comes close to the amount of compliments this gets.

It is both intoxicatingly warm and refreshing. The citrus in the openning is delicate, the lavender becomes more and more prominent as the scent dries down. Guys, let me let you in on something, MOST women absolutely LOVE lavender. Pair that with the fresh woodsy scent of the vetiver in the base, you'll get tired of telling women the name that you'll just say "the little grey robot".

Aromanciamx

deadnose

@1889616 "manly" fragrances? like Polo Black and The Most Wanted? lol get lost, kid

One can appreciate what Rabanne was trying to do here and why the robot was apt as a bottle design, given that they used analytics and research studies to come up with data-driven suggestions for ingredients and dosage. Just like his Paco Rabanne's famous metal dress the maison have *always* engaged in these futuristic avant-garde ventures, daring to do proof-in-concepts even if they don't eventually pan out.

People ridiculing "AI-made fragrances" should be aware that all the major fragrance companies that source the aromachemicals (and their composers) *already* do this behind the scenes (you likely own one) but Rabanne as far as I know is the first maison that actually admits to the public "this is our goal/this is what we set out to do."

Nor is there dispute that this is a very sweet composition given that it's lavender on a vanilla base, and that it's targeted to a younger person (18-35) who tends to like compositions in that genre. I'm not into this level of sweet (I'm also over 35 so it wasn't meant for me) but just because it's not for me doesn't mean that this is totally devoid of artistic value. The negative reviews on this composition are indisputably excessive and unfair given that anyone could easily argue the same about Le Male, Eros, 212/Bad Boy and Toy Boy (especially Toy Boy given the equally cute bottle design)—and yet they get a pass.

I defend this the same way I would defend one of the thousands (/s) of Montale's "Aouds" (also lol) and Secretions Magnifiques, they clearly have their flaws but indeed that's part of what makes them unique.

The flaw on this one is the somewhat harsh opening but where it truly counts—the drydown and it's resultant aura—is IMO very pleasant. Not obnoxious, gently sweet and very long lasting. Even star composers will create a flop every now and again...but four stars (three of whom are master perfumers) simultaneously signing off on what reviewers think is a failure? The truth is Loc and Juliette did a great job. It's meant to be fun and playful, and they nailed it.

The sharp sweetness in the beginning constantly reminds me of the sticky abrasiveness of L'Envol (Cartier) and the drydown is the sweet non-aromatic half of La Nuit De L'Homme (less the coumarin). Best of all is the Eros-level strength, you only need one spray so assuming you have a fragrance rotation it'll last you decades.

Bottle design: apropos to the brief and it really stands out in a collection. If you have the large one as I do, it's refillable and will definitely be a collectible someday. You can even strip it of Phantom spirit and fill it with something else if you really wanted to. It fits in the hand (which is more than I can say for those stupid Guerlain squares that are not meant for a human hand) and delivers a broad mist...which is such a low bar but you'd be surprised how many fragrances fall short of this (Hermès mists).

One last point - Phantom is not at all a dramatic departure from Rabanne's other offerings like 1 Million and the non-fresh versions of Invictus. All go to sweet-ville, and each one uses the next road parallel to get there. What would be shocking is an offering that *didn't* target 18-35. After all take it from me—you can't be young forever 🙃

matyas_

I don't get that hate on this fragrance. To me It smells really sweet, lot of Levander and sugar. It's like a bubblegum in a good Way. Great fragrance!

charlieq08

Among many sweet designers fragrances that have been released lately, I must say that for my nose, Phantom offers something that sets it apart from other offers. I remember when I smelt it for the first time, it took me a moment to comprehend what was going on. I liked that it challenged my nose. I became a fan and an addict to it ever since.
And talking about the name and the presentation. I have nothing against it, since I understand that it’s trying to make it visible among all the proposals you find in a perfume store. After all these years, I still reach for it. I truly enjoy it.

h24

Too hated this keeps has the dna of 1 million lucky and adds woods to it with some a little spice, all around great and affordable.

SMELLS SG WHEN DRIED DOWN

Zenith Corvus

THIS is one of the most hated fragrances? Seriously?!

Phantom has a pleasant and remarkable blend of lavender, vanilla, and citrus notes. It’s deep, stylish, and can be appreciated by people of various ages; ranging from teenage boys to men in their 40s. It may not be beast mode, but the performance is acceptable. 8–9 hours longevity with a subtle sillage.

I understand if you dislike Phantom because of the lavender and earthy notes — some people may find them a bit overwhelming when combined — but hating the fragrance solely because of the bottle is absolutely ridiculous.

I've seen much worse packaging designs among perfumes (not to mention the hideous packaging of Melanie Martinez' Portals perfumes). Having a little robot stand out in my collection is not the end of the world. It’s creative, it’s cute, it’s unconventional, it’s silly, maybe a little childish, but I adore it!

Phantom may not be every connoisseur’s cup of tea, but at least try to look past the bottle and let the fragrance speak for itself.

mxnnys

smells like something a chav would wear

löuis2trappy

Lemon and vanilla mix is putrid.

DaveCave

This is a Lavender sweet bomb! A couple of sprays is all you’ll need!

Bbbbay

Amazing masculine cologne, great for clubbing/night out's.

Cheap, affordable and overall lasts long enough.

Night cologne.

BigDaddyBronco20

Very sweet, solid fragrance but nothing special for the price tag. A lot better vanilla fragrances for that price.

samudex

It's blended weirdly. It's like the lemon peel doesn't match with the vanilla.
Mostly lavender, vanilla and lemon. It's aromatic, sweet and citrus. A simple formula. It has a similar structure to CH 212 Heroes, same approach but different result. 212 heroes replaces that sour lemon peel smell with a sweet pear nectar.

TBonetheFella

I'll be probably one of the first people to admit on this page: I judged this unfairly based off of others people opinion on this website, and the undeniably tacky bottle it come in. HOWEVER, this has been one of the only scents in my collection that I have repeatedly come back to time and time again.

This is a super fun, super easy to wear, and playful scent. It falls into a similar vein of fragrance that JPGs "Ultra Male" does, so if you enjoy that you will probably enjoy this. It opens with a very clean and refreshing blast of tart yet slightly candied lemon, like the flesh is candied but the rind is still there, and a super ultra mega creamy lavender. As it dries, it gains a nice crisp granny smith apple note that contrasts against the super creamy and sweet lavender/vanilla combo. This is the part that will probably turn most people off, especially those not fans of super sweet scents, or those who dump 20 sprays on at once. It can be cloying, especially if over sprayed, but if you give it a chance to sit in the air and not immediately go hunting with your nose like a hunting dog, you will probably really enjoy this. From this point on, it's just a linear dry down of the apple/lavender/vanilla drying down more and more until it doesn't scream anymore.

Overall, I think this is a good alternative scent to JPGs "Ultra Male", as it has the same wonderful sweetness, but with apple and lemon instead of pear. This reads a bit more unisex to me than JPG does, but it's all about what you, yourself like. This is a younger persons scent, or a scent you wear while going out because of how fun and sweet it is. I know the fragcom mostly hates this scent, and while I own a fair amount of niche fragrances, there is nothing wrong with something that just smells basic and good.

I bought my 50 mL bottle within the first 2-3 months of it dropping so I really have stellar projection and performance, 2-3 sprays is more than enough or else I choke out everyone in the room, I cannot speak to new formulations.

6.5/10

3138798142

This fragrance is a party, playful scent for younger guys (teens-early 20s), this is a loud sweet, fun fragrance where a little goes a long way. The opening is a blast a sweet lemon coconut that reminds me of a coconut creamy lotion or a creamsickle, its also got this sparly scent with it. I would reccomend for any young guy who is outgoing and loves to party and have fun. it can be too sweet if sprayed enough though.

Myentherin Govender 38

Got this for the cool looking bottle (I got the female counterpart for the same reason).
The scent itself is a blast of lemon, lavender and vanilla with an odd fruity note that lingers around, and in all honesty it lasts for quite a bit with moderate projection, But! This scent is overall a generic amalgamation of other popular scents with better compositions (Sauvage, Eros, Le Male, etc).
so all in all whilst it's bottle is cool and the scents not too bad I have better fragrances that offer me the same effect without becoming Cloying or Annoying like this one can be at certain times whilst getting me better compliments.
So I'd use up this robot till it's empty and then move on.
5/10 Overall rating.

heysmell

I reached for this bottle today after 3 years
i thought there was a note of cannabis. of course not so strong and obvious, but there is no note at all....
I am surprised because I was sure it is combined with lemon.
not possible that it is apple :D
I think I have a cold :D

Paul.Monk

Reminds me of JPG Ultra Male. Performance is great, but smells just way too generic to me. I'm sorry Paco, it's a no-go :-(.

Max Rich

This smells like a mismash of lemon lavender and vanilla. I feel like they took the left over perfume oils and put it into this fragrance. Pros: Loud sweet lemon. Cons: Cloying, sickly sweet, and lemon clorox wipes. 4/10 get it if you like people telling you you put on too much cologne.

afflictionlover

I love this fragrance so much, a perfect blend of citrus and vanilla, suitablee for spring, summer and fall! day and night are interchancgable! Perfect for casual and formal and a beautiful fragrance overall

Marshzcents

Haha. This is not good, at least in my opinion. I like woodier scents so I wouldn't wear this at all. This is PRs weaker scent, and it's funny I was able to guess all of the notes in it right off the bat. I understand the hate for this fragrance, but it's okay for younger guys, I'm 21 but I'm into more mature scents, the vetiver is really prominent, I suggest you go for Dylan blue instead, or even sauvage, all of the designer top sellers are better than this and for the same price you'll get better value and more quality, this is really synthetic, nothing natural about this fragrance.

Travis_Bickle

Love it. One of those fragrances that I take deep and heavy whiffs of by sticking my nose down my shirt. Someone below described this as a "slutty lemon" and I'd say that's very accurate. Citrus and rind-y lemon with creamy lavender and a mellow vanilla. Paco Rabanne gets a lot of hate from this community but to my nose there's a lot of winners in their lineup.

Two Scents

This scent sits very close to the skin from the opening. The lemon notes aren’t too overpowering projection wise, but are a little too synthetic. The smell reminds me of Flash wipes. I wouldn’t wear this as a day to day or as a signature scent. It’s more of a fresh out of the swimming pool in piping hot weather scent, it may even layer nicely with sun cream. I wouldn’t spray it on your way out the door, perhaps let it sit for 20-30 mins first. It isn’t for me personally, but I don’t particularly like lemon fragrances anyway.

afflictionlover

smells like monster ultra

Cinnaminominameenomomin

This was one of the first fragrances I had ever tried and I'm glad I never comitted to buying a full bottle. I smelled this recently and it was just a mess of citrus and sweetness. It's very very cloying and I dont think I could wear this at all. I do love the robot bottle though I think that is sick!

I think for some people this'll be a hit, but for me it was a big miss.

2/10

Siv7Stars

Cheap as chips currently so I bought it for my son. He loves the scent, & the robot toy shape is obvs a winner. It's a harmless little fougere, I've not noticed much smoke or earth, but the other notes are there.

nicholassua

this fragrance is 100% compliment getter

aaronfragrance15

Trust me i know these reviews are all bashing this fragrance but this is not a love at first smell fragrance. I have owned this fragrance for a year or so wearing it as my signature scent. When you first smell it, in my opinion it smells pretty bad and rotton I don't like it at all. BUT... give it an hour or so and the dry down is AMAZING, it is vanilla, earthy, sweetness. and despite what everyone else has said i have gotten TONS of compliments. you just have to wait and let it marinate on you for about an hour.

Mr. Cellophane

This is a fragrance that will hopefully grow on me. There are parts of it I like but the lavender, it's a bit much. Has a very ozonic/powdery overtone that makes it almost a chore to wear.

Not a recommended blind buy, unless you just want the bottle.

BebedordeCafé

Call this fragrance "Parfums de Marly - Phantom".
Suddenly it's a slightly tropical/vanilla ice cream masterpiece which mixes lavender accords with little hints of smokey vetiver.

acidgypsycat

This supposed to be sweet? Really? I sense 0 sweetness in it and I'm surprised to see the description and notes. Maybe it's because I don't test many exclusively male fragrances but an awful lot of them just smells the same to me. This one is exactly like that, nothing special and a little bit headache inducing.

DracheMitch

The reason to buy this is the bottle, which is fantastic and makes this SUPER easy to spray, and because you need a totally inoffensive cologne that won’t draw attention. Trust me, this won’t draw attention. At all.

I’m disappointed with this fragrance especially because other Rabanne fragrances are top notch “male” smells that aren’t generic. This is generic. A version of this with a lot more personality is Versace Blue Jeans which I LOVE. This has the lavender, citrus, and sweetness of Blue Jeans but it’s missing the complexity. Also, while someone who likes JPG Le Male would probably like this, it doesn’t smell like Le Male.

Phantom is like someone smelled Versace Blue Jeans and JPG Le Male and said, “let’s make the Muzak version of those fragrances.”

torreykongjr

Pineapple, sour, tangy, little sharp, little heady in the winter. Lighter and citrusy, pina colada in the hotter months. Stays close to the skin and on clothes nicely as do most Paco Rabanne.

LocalCologne

I do not understand the hate about the bottle the smell is great, and the sillage and longevity are slightly above average. This is the way to go if you want to smell like a green apple.

TheodoreMnts

Just too sweet for my liking, so I'm glad at this point the decant I bought to test it is 1ml

Coaxial

I dislike this fragrance a lot. If anyone would like it, just hit me up. Honestly, not a fan of the scent. I can't really describe it besides the fact it makes me a bit nauseous. At least the bottle looks nice. 6/10

certifiedborderhopper

how can anyone like this, me and my friend tried this and it smells rotten

The best smeller

Alright fragrance good on a variety of occasions but didn’t last as long as I would like not a very sexy fragrance in my opinion but still does what it’s good for.

nicholassua

this and also the later version, Parfum, are the best offered by Paco Rabanne so far.. trust me, not Million line.. it must be 100% Phantom

Everytime I wear this, I get compliments from both boys & girls
Never smelled anything like this before, this is so delicious, versatile, you can wear all year round
Youthful, playful, sexy.. cant stop smelling itttttttttttt
10000/10

jiaamin

starts of pretty citrusy rather than lavender imo, lemon fades veryy quickly and then it smells pretty bad :( base of woody vanilla is very nice (not too woody)! does have a masculine depth to it, but could see this as unisex tbh

Haagen Dazs

This perfume is soooo delicious, when I first smelled it I love it and bought it without hesitation, and I had a lot of compliments with it..IMO this is one of the best paco rabbane fragrances 💯

Matias00

Doce e imaturo. Ideal para anunciar a presença de um adolescente rebelde. Isso transforma o homem no pão de açúcar.

saphireaddams

"7/10 My boyfriend - Initial spray reminded me of a tropical beach, nostalgic but unsure why, mixture of summer & autumn. Dry down smoky then earthy"

8/10 Me - Wonderful tropical strong fragrance that I could see being amazing in the summer because its very fruity and can smell mango, coconut and tropics. Can't smell lavender/wood much which is surprising as that seems to be what others smell. Really love this, although its only great after dry down. At first, its far too strong, alcoholic and smells a bit like rotten fruit. Earthy after 30 mins

Srben

This fragrance makes me think of JPG's Le Male, but with a toned down mint note, and a strong, smooth coconut one added. This is what Le Beau SHOULD smell like, but doesn't. You'd never know it from the pyramid above, but this smells tropical; never trust a paper test strip, and never trust the scent profile. Fair warning, though: Phantom is incredibly addictive.

Night of April

This one is mostly lavender and earthy notes. I like it, smells clean and relaxing but do I neee to smell like that? It is mysterious but can be mistaken easily with a masculine, lavender base fragrance. I wouldn't wear this on myself because I like vanilla fragrances...
Anyway, if you like aquatic, fresh notes try CK Be, I like that one better.

Ali477

For me, idk how airports are still advertising Paco Rabbane's Phantom. I mean the bottle looks very cool and has a good atomizer, but the scent reminds me of my father's Sauvage Edp I somehow think it is decent, 5/10 mostly coming from how nice the bottle looks but the price is garbage for 100$ and could get better for fragrances like Versace Dylan blue, D&G The one and original YSL EDP or intense as you like and original Swy.

aliks

Great bottle, the scent seems rather synthetic and sugary (it reminds me a lot of Hypnôse for men by Lancôme and also of some cough syrups) but is also surpringly wearable on certain cold days because it has an effect of the mood, I take it more as a sort of state of mind perfume to wear just for yourself rather than an everyday perfume because it is too bold and candylike. I am really astonished to quite like it.

khungpao

I fell in love at first sniff, the scent is gorgeous. This is an all rounder in my opinion. I used it on our usual tropical weather and I love it even more. Got a sample and I want a full bottle.
I think the bottle looks cool and can be good for display on your work table along with your merch. Now I really want to buy it, will have to start saving. 🥹

manon_crts

It's like a chaotic bonfire at a kindergarten party. Imagine tossing in blocks and pieces from a bunch of blockbuster fragrances, stirring it up into a crazy crock-pot mix of teenage dreams – and wasted money. As my partner aptly put it, "Smells like drama in here."

noctivagantlibertine

Blind buy at a steep discount, could not resist the adorable cheap robot bottle. Masc-leaning unisex and I will have to experiment more but I feel like I can manipulate it more femme or masculine with layering more of different notes. This is definitely well crafted so far as being able to really pick out the individual notes really well. I definitely want to try layering with some apple scents as that note disappears very quickly on me alas, and I think that note is what makes this the most fun. Vanilla and bitter lemon-lavender linger the longest. As a vanilla perfume, it's not my favorite, and I think something about the patchouli in here combines with it into almost a dirty baby powder scent. On me it quickly dissipates down to a skin scent. I suspect I'll end up passing this onto a nephew before it's empty but I don't hate it. An unserious night out scent.

sea2sky

Forget the bottle (but some may like it). The juice is great. Starts sweet and playful then turns into a very nice masculine lavender/vanilla/vetiver combo. Remotely reminds me Prada Luna Rosa Sport, similar vibe.

eliseoo

of all the lemon/vanilla scent combos i've smelled this is by far the smoothest one yet most earthy/bitter from the earthy notes and lemon zest. woke up in the morning with a really pleasant vanilla dry down it smells delicious!

AlbanianTractor

Let me start this of by saying that the things that make me love this scent, are mostly the same reasons people despise it: its increadibly sweet, and the vanilla is synthetic smelling. But to me that vanilla blast is very pleasant, and when dried down, it blends well with the other notes. All in all its a really well blended perfume (after the dry down). The lemon smells very fresh and zesty, and accentuates the vanilla really well. The fruity notes (I only realised the apple note, after I saw it here) intertwine with the lavender in a way thats unique to this perfume. The earthy notes, and the smoke give this perfume its masculine edge, but I would classify it as unisex/more masculine, because these notes are quite faint.

To me, this scent is best appreciated during spring, and autumn, and is also good during the summer, but I don't wear this during winter. You can get away with, it but it lacks that warm spicyness, that I NEED during those cold days.

It projects well, and I don't really understand people who find it too loud. I mean if you do 8 sprays, than yeah, it will be noticable, but this isn't even the least bit harsh. It's very sweet, but it leaves room for air, unlike some really cheap women's fragrances. I find this fragrance to be very youthful, definitely check this out if your a teenager who likes sweet scents. I would find it very wierd if my father came home smelling like that.

The word "compliment getter" gets thrown around a lot by perfume reviewers, but as Phantom is an easy to wear, mass appealing scent, I have gotten several compliments from it. Both my GF and my mother (two separate people) who both hate basically all fragrances love Phantom. Obviously this isn't an increadibly unique, or sophisticated fragrance, but it has its layers, and is really addictive. I can safely say that phantom is in my top 5 designer fragrences. Overall, I'd say that if you enjoy other recent sweet designer fragrances like JPG Scandal for example, you sould definatly give this a try, but this is NOT a safe blind buy.

Vapidcucumber

This is the only scent I have that gave me an immediate splitting headache. I am not sure what note is in here but if you were to smell it from the bottle, there’s a decent coconut note. I got rid of this immediately- I wish it didn’t give me a headache so that I could appreciate what Paco Rabanne were going with here. I do like the bottle hence why I picked it up, and the atomiser is quite good as well.

willnpc40

I sprayed this twice when I saw it sitting out for sample at Sam's Club while I was shopping... I kind of wanted to wash it off my skin...it just wasn't for me...first PR fragrance I disliked

3/10 Easy pass for me

dglightblue

This slaps. On a tester its bloody good,on skin the top is a bit funny. Like tea, citrus and sweet stuff..

It's not smokey, going by the notes I should looove this.

Don't think it smells like what Dolce Gabbana do with amalfi lemon.. it's different, and I adore lavender in fragrance though this is not at all like what Beckham does with it..

It's a bit odd, then wonderful. I'll try again and see what this opening is about

OG_Stewie8564

Cute bottle and a sweet, pleasant smell that works for any time of year! Has a tiny touch of a Le Male vibe but with a twist that makes it one of a kind. I strongly recommend checking it out before you buy it since some may find it too sweet or "synthetic". Overall 9.5/10 😁👍

False Neutral

It smells halfway there to something good, but quickly dissipates into rather neutral. Pleasant but hardly enticing.

The performance and sillage are very becoming of the name, but not of the price.

Not a blind buy, a "test a few times" thing, at most.

nihilistgodzillas

You might not like the scent itself but no one can deny how high quality its components are. This is a formula with a note breakdown that I can individually isolate ingredient by ingredient in a vivid manner, and I'm no big nose trained perfume expert.

Honestly liked it more when I initially got it, gets pretty boring after some usage due to its linearity (although that might be on me).

I find it very versatile but mostly for daytime wear, although I don't think it goes wrong on any occasion or season.

I sometimes think of it as the smell of a very expensive car air freshener, in a good way, it's very creamy but energetic, similar to CH Bad Boy Le Parfum but sweeter and with a piercing lavender note instead of that one's equally sharp but kind of unique funky weed note.

Don't get the hate, only negative is that the performance is nothing to write home about.

jamal8800

If I was rating this fragrance based off the bottle alone, this would be a 12/10, absolutely love the bottle. Sadly, can't say the same about how it smells, tested this on my wrist from a Sephora store at my local mall, this fragrance is way too sweet, the vanilla smells really synthetic and is super overpowering, I really like sweet fragrances but this was way too much for me. This fragrance reminds me of one of those cheap candles you buy from bath and body works, and not in a good way, smells super cheap and I'm glad I didn't blind buy it, will definetly not be buying.

benlippi

This was the first fragrance i made a review about on this website. Coming back after half a year and my nose going through a lot of maturing I must say this is still great. I’ve sold it but just recently bought a new one because it was unbelievably cheap and well, I missed it. If I could describe it in one word it would be FUN.

I’ve tested the parfum flanker and I prefer the fresher og. Phantom isn’t the sexy mysterious guy at the club the parfum was trying to be. He’s the funny guy with uber positive energy and sweet dance moves. Everyone loves him, except the few people standing in the back too prideful to get on the dance floor.

Now I’ll admit the opening is the best part of this fragrance. The sweet earthy vetiver dry down is still enjoyable, but my god, that citrusy pop in the opening is to die for. Pure party in your nose. And it does indeed have a futuristic vibe. The advertising for this fragrance was spot on.

Another thing I love about this fragrance is the fact that it perfectly encapsulates the essence of the late great Paco Rabanne. The robot is a nod to pacos metallic and futuristic fashion designs. The juice itself is absolutely wacky but works so well, Pacos vibe exactly. I’m sure he would love this creation. Team pacobot 4 life 🤖

born_slippy

Synthetic? Of course, all perfumes are to an extent so that’s not a thoroughly grounded criticism. I’ll say one thing: If it wasn’t obvious by its shiny robot toy packaging, this is a futuristic perfume, but a positivist one, a fragrance that embraces technology and all its breakthroughs. A sweet bomb with earthy undertones from the lavender accord. A “dumb” reach as some might say. Doesn’t take itself seriously, and that’s what we need more of in perfumery. One of the better releases of 2021 in hindsight.

Biglou88

Not sure why this has been shit on so much cuz to my nose this smells very nice indeed. If I smell this up close then yeah it does smell a bit odd but in the air it smells very good. This has very strong performance and projection is very good too. This works great on nights out especially in colder weather.

Gloom

don't get the hate for how the bottle looks, it's not like you're gonna walk around with it in your hands. it opens up with this lemon/orange scent that's strong but it quickly dies down to this sort of sulfur (?) kind of smell which I presume is the earthy notes. Nice fragrance overall but it is definitely something I wouldn't wear frequently

Perfumer007

Artificial lavender vanilla cashmeran amberxtreme bomb sickly sweet and generic

2/10

kundi301

One of the only fragrances i have smelt that i genuinely hate. The opening of this fragrance is so harsh and synthetic and smells like a bunch of random notes have been messily mashed together. People reach for the cool looking bottle and expect a decent fragrance. It's far from decent in my eyes.
Definitely a love it or hate it fragrance.
An undeserved 1/10.

Margeti79

Nice, modern, plain, contemporary masterpiece that perfectly reflects present era. It’s nothing groundbreaking but somehow is signature candidate. It’s corny and sofisticated at the same time. Love that lavender combined with apple vanillic tone. Bottle is 10/10, smell 9/10, nice longevity, great job Paco Rabanne Phantom edt👏🏻(only downside is a drydown, little messy)
Edp is awful👎🏻

RGH01

Phantom is a straight up abomination to the world of perfume, a disgustingly synthetic mess. You’ve got this overdose of sneeze-inducing lavender combined with a very earthy apple and vanilla. There’s a head-pounding lemon in there too just to make you more nauseous.

I don’t even know why I’m taking the time to review this fragrance but words cannot describe how much I dislike it. This fragrance is probably the laziest, dullest and simply the worst excuse for a scent I’ve ever come across.

As usual with Paco Rabanne the quality of ingredients is abysmal and the blending is atrocious. This truly is a disgusting fragrance made for 13 year old boys who are enamoured by a tacky robot bottle.

Owen Witabi

Smelled it today on a coworker, and I was convinced it was Prada Luna Rossa Carbon. Leaves a decent trail of ambroxan, almost identical to Luna Rossa Carbon; perhaps it is the lavender/citrus combo; but is more syrupy when smelled from closer. I find it quite screechy, for the same reason I stopped wearing Carbon. I personally prefer Sauvage as ambroxan bomb.

xack

A lavender vanilla scent once the lemon top dies down. I smell this on myself and it's smells mostly weird and too sweet. The bottle is dork-ish A.F. and lacks masculinity like the scent itself.

Carolinemushroom

I never go for men's colognes but this one really should be marketed as unisex bc it has a lot of feminine associated notes. It's a creamy citrusy scent that fills up the entire room and lasts forever, one spray is genuinely enough. I enjoy it as I'm sometimes exhausted by fragrances that smell amazing but only last 5 minutes. I reach for this when I want to smell sweet and don't want to have to constantly reapply throughout the night.

peru2803

Opening may be rough for some but dry down is not bad at all. Overhated by most because of bottle. 6.7/10

Carrolllaw

I got a sample, to see what all the fuss was about. Objectively, it’s not a bad scent. For me — I don’t think so. Especially on the opening, it’s waaaay too sweet for my tastes. Of course, I feel that way about some of the Le Male and Invictus lines too. As Phantom dries down, it’s tolerable. It still comes across way too youthful for me. And for what’s it’s worth, I couldn’t care less about the bottle.

willnpc40

LostSock

I like it, it's a fun fragrance not to be taken too seriously, just a dumb reach that'll get you through the day. It's a sweet mass appeal scent, like One Million, Le Male etc, two others that get a lot of disdain. I get coconut from it, so it reminds me of holidays abroad, which is never a bad thing.

I also like the bottle, I'm an '80s kid, I'm duty bound to like toy robots. I can imagine this thing walking about on the floor, falling over He-Man figures.

Fun fragrance, fun bottle. I think "fun" is a word sadly lacking in the vernacular of a lot of folk that take smelly wet stuff a little bit too seriously, not everything has to be a masterpiece niche in an elegant bottle. Paco Rabanne especially seems to get a boatload of hate yet they're very popular - maybe that's the issue, gate keepers not liking things that normal people like? I dunno. I just see a lot of snobbery around and hating on something that's essentially just a vessel for making us smell nice seems a waste of energy. This sits proudly on one of my shelves along with all the other 'ugly' bottles the frag God's sneer at, like the Police skulls, JPG Kokorico, Toy Boy Teddy, Watts light bulbs etc. Heck, if I were a woman I'd even have the Herrera stilettos on there as well.

TorresN22

I've seen the hate the bottle gets so I went into this unbiased. Creamy offputing lemon opening with a decent dry down. Not for me but it is a fairly pleasent scent.

Innocent_Cabbage

I got this as a sample from my local department store, sprayed 2 pumps of the tiny atomizer on my wrist and the first sniff made me feel sick and made me gag every time I smelt it since. I genuinely hate this scent and will never go near it again.

scentyseasons_kt

Smells like a mango…not only me but many of my friends have told me that 😂

kittenpawz

I got a sample of Phantom with another purchase.
My mom has been using Mr. Clean Antibacterial Cleaner With Summer Citrus since forever, triggering my lifelong intolerance to lemon scented chemical liquids. It's my ultimate "hell no!" scent from childhood. This is that + a hint of lavender + very realistic lemon zest and no they're not the same, lemon is juicy and on the sour side whereas zest is bitter and dry. People who eat a lot of citrus fruits like oranges smell this way, and it has absolutely nothing to do with sexiness and confidence like the brand claims. It's "Bart, can we stop for lemons?" kind of citrus fragrance, something you'd expect from Moschino perhaps - a Fresh Couture scent for men; the bottle is also Moschino worthy, they usually go for quirky designs like this. You could say "I've smelled this somewhere before" and be correct because it smells like a very ordinary, linear, affordable, done-a-thousand-times-before male fragrance with extra citrus, or like a teenage boy's deodorant. Maybe it would be sweet for someone who normally goes for chypres or fougeres but I prefer gourmands and don't find it sweet.

The idea of an AI-made fragrance is ridiculous to be honest and would only work if people could make their own custom-tailored fragrances that way, for fun or the sake of experiment, kind of like "build your own sandwich" at Subway. Many perfumers have their signature touch that we look for when sampling their new creations, and to be recognized as a perfumer means to have your artistic expression valued by many people. The art of perfumery is declining as is and we need not take another step in that direction. Imagine going 100 years back in time to tell Jean Carles or Jacques Guerlain that in 2020s fragrances will be created by robots, they would be horrified.

soapaddict

smells like a NON-STOP party!!!
LOVE IT

Reminds me so much of the lemon refresher bars (uk sweets) fizzy lemon, I quite like it, I understand why so many people don't like it though

80's baby here!...
I don't understand all of this hate for an 80's-style toy robot design!...🤷🏾♂️
Firstly, the 80's was THE best era! Fashion was it's best, music was it's best, television was superb.
It was ALL about feeling and good times... and people ALL looked like they loved it, not at-all like today, where we're being forced to go along with blatant agenda's, that are thrust upon you daily, hourly through media.

Regarding this bottle design... I'm totally convinced that people are hating on this, just to hate on something - like they saw some other people kicking-off about it and unconsciously jumped in.
I'm absolutely sure that's what it is, because WHO CARES what a fragrance bottle looks like, as long as the fragrance is nice, attractive, well-blended and performs well!? I haven't even seen hatred and outrage for a fragrance. Even this one!... and it's pretty BAD - it smells like a Car Tree air-freshener or shoe polish.
I was FUMING when I'd bought it! Thought to myself, "what the F is this mix-up!! I paid DOUGH, for this!!! Hell no!!!"
I've honestly NEVER ever thought to myself (about ANY fragrance) "oo, I love this, but I hate the bottle!" NEVER!
It's just a bizarre thing to elicit a hatred for!...🤷🏾♂️
This bottle is the coolest-looking one on my shelf.
O.G 1 Million and Lucky look very good, also.
About Armaf CDN bottles... thought, "damn, these are kinda tacky and cheap-looking!..." and admittedly, i didn't want them on my perfectly uniformed, well-organised, well-arranged shelf, because they're extremely poor quality and look as such.
I cannot explain it; it's not the design or anything. They just look as though they're cheaply made.
This however, looks like a toy from Stranger Things, or an 80's Tomy toy robot. It's joyous!

Disgusting mess

shadowind123

Good for outdoors but it’s way to strong to be in an enclosed space like an office or a classroom

Jqwalls

Lemon, lavender and sweet vanilla cream. What a great fragrance. Incredibly strong yet not overpowering unless over-sprayed. I think this is a very underrated fragrance that deserves way more love and attention. Imo the ridiculous bottle is probably preventing it from reaching the more mature audience it deserves. Tbh I avoided smelling it for a long time due to the stupid bottle but I’m glad I gave it a shot because it is great and I’m glad I own it. Decent strength and projection with over 4 sprays. Solid fragrance.

DobriAndonov

When it came out, I've asked a friend of mine to decant me 10ml of it. Tried it several times. And it is not that intriguing.

The opening is tenable. Not good, not bad. Kinda strange and chaotic with a decent lack of completion. But still tenable.

The strange thing comes after. When it start dries down, it becomes more and more familiar with something. Until the complete drydown when it happens to be 'This is him' by Zadig & Voltaire. The resemblance is drastic for me, but the Phanton is somewhat toothless and blunted.

The scent is okay. The longevity is moderate, as much as the sillage and the projection. I will rather buy a new bottle of This is Him than a full bottle of this one. The potence of the Z&V is much higher and the smell is more alluring.

In total: Phantom is good, but nothing more. If I was younger, I could've bought it because of the bottle. But nowdays .. nah! Totally skipping it.

Mongrel

The opening of this one is either hate it or love it, but the drydown and base notes are what keeps me still reaching out for this one.

Yeah, the bottle is unusual and not the most suitable for putting in a travel sized bottle.
But looking at Rabanne's most popular fragrances, it doesn't seem to bother people all that much

jzryl

This Smells exactly like freshly cut sweet pineapple with a hint of vanilla, under the scorching sun.

Cardelle

Bought this because of the bottle design, because it's cool as F@#£
*** I LOVE the bottle design!!😍

Upon first spray... HATED it, found that the notes contrasted far too much with each-other.
Even my lady was sickened by it, stating, "you smell like a car tree air-freshener..."
Even she couldn't tolerate this!... and her palette isn't developed, sophisticated nor refined as mine, because I'm an image consultant...
She is polite and naive enough to love everything, which I LOVE about her🥰❤️
Upon first spray it smelt like "Sex Panther" that Anchorman Ron Burgundy would wear.
It was PUNGENT!🤢🤮

I layered this with something (listed in my perfumes, even though it's not a perfume per sé).
As soon as I layered it, it JUMPED from "ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!🤢" to "DELICIOUS!!!😍", to the point that my lady LOVES it on me. To the point that female passers-by LOVE it on me and pay compliments😳 Which makes sense, because women LOVE this chemical (that I layer it with).
Any time I wear aftershaves containing it... compliments GALORE!!!
Layered with the chemical, this stuff becomes a 9.5, damned-near perfect fragrance.
If you've read this review and have found yourself in the same boat (find this mishmash sickening), and you'd like to know what it is that I layered it with, read through the reviews on my page.
***TIP: I layer all of my sweet fragrances with it.
I'm not in the habit of carrying anyone else's water; I always encourage others to be inquisitive.
Happy hunting💪🏾😉🙃

Louie_098

I like this tacky bottle and it's different. We need different, and I clap my hands to the company for being bold with the design. Look, if you don't want to buy this because of the scent it self then great, I completely understand but if you're one of those people who would simply not buy it because of the bottle then you're a little nuts if you ask me. It's not like you're buying shoes or a car where the presentation actually matters. Now, let's talk about the scent it self. If you are not into sweet and strong scents, avoid it. If you don't like sweet lemon then avoid it. If you are into "hyper masculine" scents then avoid it. Do women love this? YES! Did that surprise you? I think so.

Angelicax1

I’ve discovered that this is only good when you smell it on other people. I LOVE it on my husband. Sweet, smoky, a little herbal. It’s actually my favorite on him. I made the mistake of spraying it on myself today and INSTANT REGRET. A single spray, and I’m struggling to not cough and choke. It’s so incredible harsh and sharp. I don’t know if proximity is the only factor or maybe it’s my chemistry but dang. Maybe I just need to give it time to settle down. Very very different than what I smell on him. So maybe if you hate it on yourself, it might still smell good to other people. Just a thought lol.

NoirMemoir

After more then a few...less flattering reviews and impressions, i got a sample and was eager to hate it. I opened the package and, excited, one by one i took out each sample. When i got Phantom in my hand i squinted my eyes, frowned, then put it away thinking "In the corner with you, where you belong!"

Today i took out this black sheep, middle child of a fragrance out of the corner for a test drive. First spray and a cold, metalic, synthetic blast suckerpunched me, HARD! This thing unclogged my synuses like a syringe full of saline!

After the sting subsided, this sharp, suggary, lemony scent reminded me of a cocktail made by a child fooling around. He put some lemon peel, loads of sugar, and pretty much everything else he found around the kitchen and gave you a taste. Politely you take a sip, act like it tastes good, then pour it in the sink when he's not looking. Im thinking, im gonna have a field day on this one! First fragrance i would actually hate!

But then it settled, started to dry down and lose the sharp edges. Sweetness took over and calmed things down, with the lemon still present. There's something else in this that makes it odd. That must be the Earthy / Smokey note, and im pretty sure its why i didn't like it first because it does feel out of place especially in the first half hour. But the more it dries down on my hand, the more i like it!

Its a sweet fragrance no doubt, but lemony sweet, and that makes it a pretty refreshing scent overall. Its a synthetic smell and im guessing its the lavander and lemon that make it so, but unique for sure! After the myriad of modern redundant ambery sweet datenight-ish designer fragrances i tested recently, this is a nice change of pace.

I might even pick up a bottle of this, if i can somehow get past the presentation. Because f... that robot man! Im serious about presentations and this is a toy!

Aleksandar1

This is great for the money you pay. I have only tested this fragrance but I'd say it smells very pleasant and is perfect for everyday use and the warm weather. A very safe buy and better than most designer fresh fragrances and even some niche perfumes too.

Overall: 8/10

Sadumva

Es tan fuerte que la primera semana que la usé me hartó y dejé de usarla meses. Luego comencé a agarrarle el gusto y es algo invasiva. El olor es bueno.

guardLK

This guy gets a ton of hate, but I don’t think it’s warranted. Yes, the bottle is tacky, yes, the marketing cheesy, but the fragrance is really, really good.

Citrusy, creamy, earthy, very unisex. You can wear it year round, day or night. Solid performer, I get about 6 hours on my skin. I smell the vetiver a lot in the opening, almost comes across as being nutty, then the dry down is smooth lavender and sweet vanilla. To the non fragrance community, this is a real people pleaser.

sam smith99

The lavender is fresh and it's fruity, but the vanilla becomes very sweet as it dries down, it's nice just not something I'd wear. very modern and versatile. A little unisex also.

parvatishallow

This fragrance is a mess, yeah. I kind of like it for what it is though.

TLDR: Citrus dominated fragrance with a pretty messy smoky/earthy note.

On opening, it's zesty and very strong. Not unpleasant and it's also not cloying to me whatsoever. It gets messy when the earthy, smoky notes start hitting. Then it begins to smell kind of awful. Like a straw hat that has been soaked in dirt and cheap shampoo. As it dries down, it's fine. You start getting more of the vanilla base and the lemon is still pretty prevalent. I just wish the earthy notes weren't included in this. The sillage on this is probably better than smelling it directly. I've noticed that Fame and Phantom both share a very creamy smelling base. They're more similar than you'd probably expect.

Not a safe blind buy, masculine, super smoky, and probably better for the spring or fall.

VISUAL: a lemon on a plate, with vanilla extract, topped with wood shavings and cigarette ash.

Michael_Noir

Opening is very harsh, but you need to let it dry down. After an hour it becomes such a unique scent! Very earthy and fresh. It is a bold move from Paco Rabanne but also the reason why they are special.

BallSniffer

From someone who owns both Paco Rabanne Ultrared and Phantom, I would say Ultrared smells good, but dated. Phantom smells much more modern and I end up reaching for it more

kateridelisle

Guess I'm the only one that detects a cold, sharp metallic quality to this fragrance. Is it the lavender, vetiver, smoke, green apple and earthy notes combination? Its in the correct packaging if this is the aim of this fragrance and the goal was something modern, cold, and metallic. Not hating it, just weird scent for me. Clean, modern vibe, almost antiseptic or astringent.

JasParekh

Don't be put off by the corny bottle cos the juice inside is really good. This is definitely take the same route as the 1 Million line which can be densely sweet for some but it smells really good. Of course it's synthetic and linear but that doesn't mean it's bad. Get it if you like vanilla heavy fragrances!!

1uckynumb3r

In the same vein with Paco R Ultrared. Buy Ultrared, is cheaper and better.
On a scale from 1 to 10 i'll give a 6.5

mhsaia

Smooth lavender scent and pulls compliments, but too one-dimensional and synthetic. Definitely over hated though.

6.3/10

Mr.kalna

A lot of people dont like this fragrance, but i do. Im teen, and it suits me perfectly. Its vanilla and citrus, and it does suit for me. The longevity is not that good, but its ok. Solid 8/10

Psalzarulo

I honestly really like Phantom as a fruity, fun, scent. The vanilla, citrus, and lavender combine to give the melon-like first impression. It all blends together nicely and remains fresh throughout the dry down.

If it wasn't for the bottle, this would be a much higher rated fragrance, as this is a very nice, wearable scent. This is definitely a flirty scent in line with Eros, Le Male and Most Wanted although this is the most broadly wearable of all of these IMO. This would work in a casual school/office environment but is a bit too sweet for anything formal.

8/10 scent for me. I can honestly see myself picking this up for a date night scent as most of what I have is office/oriented. As others have mentioned, this is a very underrated scent that smell great and is slightly more versatile than Eros, Le Male, etc.

After wearing the sample quite a few more times, I have to bump it up to an 8.5/10. It's just a really nice, pleasant, well-done scent.

Rhyan2309

smells like lacoste blanc 1212 and gucci guilty ibr

Liffy19

Love it.. Simple and a great compliment getter..

senthypulls

It's a decent fragrance. I personally get some compliments but one thing to note is that it is very I mean very synthetic. I think for the price point it's fairly reasonable my only complaint is it does not last very long on the skin! I thought maybe it was my skin chemistry I gave it to my friends, it maybe tops projects around 3-4 hours I think if that was improved this would be a very good daily frag. It stays on my skin for a decent amount of time

jcarolinajr

I bought Phantom during the height of the Covid pandemic on fine day in Naples Florida. Somehow I never realized how exceptional it is. Exceptional because its earthiness is, on me, very complimentary as I adore both lavender and Vetiver; both spring from the depths of what my soul gives to the universe, and as such, I might wear it to party — anywhere! Anytime! Any place, and any how. I love it and am unapologetically immersed in its captivating appeal. I’ll admit vetiver, patchouli, and lavender is an acquired taste; but, who knew? The key is to wear this fragrance with a sense of dignity. While I couldn’t wear it to the office because it’s too provocative, I would wear it to church Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, or Christmas Eve Night Mass. The such occasions Phantom subtly lives up to its name, but does not steal the show!

madelineandmore

Got this for my boyfriend and whenever he wears it my nose perks up.
It’s creamy sweet but balanced with lavender and the earthy notes.
I usually like light citrus fragrances on him but this is the exception
It’s so comforting and yummy I love it.

FlaminCat

Interesting. I despise pretty much all PR fragrances for their packaging and ridiculous sweetness. The first time I tried this my assumptions were confirmed. Very harsh sweetness.

I recently saw a YouTube video and many people in the comments wrote the fragrance doesn't deserve the hate and that it actually gets them a lot of compliments.

To be fair, that first test was only on a test strip and many months ago. So I tested it again today. First on a strip - exact same terrible experience.
Then on my arm, and still the same. Very harsh, very sweet. But after 1.5 to 2 hours that harshness went away and it became super pleasant! I can totally see how it gets compliments.

Would I buy a fragrance that takes this long to smell nice? Absolutely not but I will review it as a "like" to improve it's grade which is way lower than it should be. :)

Trueblood84

I don't get the hate for this one it's well balanced, smells great, performance is top notch, and it is versatile enough to wear as a signature scent. The best way I can describe this is a creamy scent with citric nuances and a fruity base.I It smells like an amalgamation of some of the best fragrance out there. Sounds awful but it works great and smells awesome. Id give this a 8 out of 10.

pyrtsa

Got this for a gift and was a little bummed to get it. I hadn't tried it yet inside a store or anything so I expected a very sweet and similar scent to other Paco Rabanne frags. At first I thought I was right and just continued on the day with the scent on my arm. Couple hours later to be surprised with something so nice. The scent gets better when it dries down to the more earthy and darker notes while still having that sweetness in the background. The vanilla is really nice, I really enjoy vanilla fragrances so that ticks another box for me. I've never hated the bottle, it's so funny and a little tacky, but who cares. No one is going to see the bottle on you anyway.

Sweet fragrance, so I think sweet haters won't love this either. I think people hate on it for the bottle more than the fragrance.

Where to use?: I've heard people use this as their signature, because you can use it in any weather. It has fresh notes, sweet notes and darker/earthy notes. More of a winter/fall fragrance for sure though. BUT I've already used it once this summer and I was surprised that I actually got a couple compliments. To me this is like a party fragrance, go clubbing, out with friends, drinking, that type of stuff.

I wouldn't buy it for myself though, because I don't (or wouldn't) use it that often. Still, good stuff.

Edit: I've now realized it isn't for winter, been using this while out with people. The projection is not good, wouldn't recommend really. I will forever like the bottle tho ;)

alrangel

At first I didn't like it, but on the second time it catched me, that's absolutely a masterpiece. The notes don't seem to fit together, but that's what makes it so special, that's the beauty of the fragrance, they don't fit at the same time that they act together to deliver an absolut pleasure experience. The sweet vanilla contrasts with the earthy notes and the smoke, that's so mind-blowing. It's citrus, sweet and dirty at the same time. I love it. And the robot bottle is so cool, I wanted the perfum just for the bottle at first. But I have to acknowledge that the fragrance doesn't fit with the futuristic proposal, it should have had metallic and cold notes, and that's not what we see.

Afc_Croatian

I'm glad to hear reviews affirming my thoughts as well :)

While orange isn't listed in the notes, I swear Phantom smells like an orange creamsicle with subtle lavender, smells very edible and tasty.
Where I see the amount of hate this gets, I can't say I'm surprised since it's pretty linear and one-dimensional, but it doesn't stop it from smelling nice.
At the same time, when I see reviews saying that it's headache inducing for them, that's fair as well.

I see both sides of the arguments. But I think you should try this first before falling into the hate, you just might like it.

Boostedvrs

Managed to get 100ml of phantom for £45 , very sweet, but imo it's my favourite out of the Paco rabanne fragrances, lasts a good 7 hours, and it's very very strong , bubblegum type of smell, works well in the summer

CoreyM

Most underrated fragrance on the market. This works amazingly and gets lots of compliments. If you don’t like sweet fragrances however, then you will probably not like it.

Ozi hasan

Extremely sweet, sickeningly sweet, but I really don’t mind because I love it. I will never understand why this is so over hated. I guess if you are someone who doesn’t enjoy sweet fragrances, then this is not for you. Lavender and vanilla bomb makes for an amazing smelling fragrance.

Josati0104

Its so underrated. It smells very unique. Paco Rabanne really took a different approach and took a risk, which is probably many people dislike it. This is probably one of the best smelling colognes ive tried to be honest.

Owen Kennedy

Great scent, I use it as often as I dare, lest I run out of what I think to be my favourite scent.
It's my biggest compliment getter, more so than those consider to be the best, and my girlfriend credits it to being the scent that made her fall in love with me!
I'm really not well versed enough to describe the notes, but I'd say that the smell is a bit more acquired, but after wearing it once or twice, I'm completely infatuated with it.
I wouldn't recommend blind buying this scent, definitely try it out at a fragrance shop or other store, but from my experience, people I've asked have only liked it and encouraged me to wear it more.
I find it to be a very versatile scent, having worn it through winter in day and night - the difference of it to other scents seems to work for me in the day and night, and I'd only maybe say that it's a bit more of a fall - Winter scent, to really make it pop - though not to say it doesn't work in Summer and Spring. It lasts a good while, spreads itself comfortably and is, as I say, my favourite scent so far.

TBonetheFella

My opinion seems to constantly keep flipping back and forth on whether or not I truly like this fragrance or not, so I keep going back to it. Whether I like it or not, it brings me back each time so if that doesn't make it a success I don't know what does.

In all reality though I like this scent a lot. It's basic sure, but still very pleasant and easy to wear. It its this mix between creamy vetiver (prolly from the vanilla and vetiver mixing), citrus and lavender. Its top notes are not ground breaking at all, but the creamy vetiver is so interesting to my nose. It has this sort of green/earthy scent mixed with this not super sweet but creamy vanilla. It's weird for a designer frag and that's why I dig it. It also helps that this scent isn't super linear, starting off with the citrus, into the lavender, and finally into the creamy vetiver. I have been told this smells very "slutty" by some of my friends, and honestly I can kind of agree. Not in an animalic/skin musky way, but it smells a bit like the person who would come up to you at a bar with less than wholesome intentions. Granted, this thought can be a my friends and I only thing as we make jokes about those kinds of things all the time. Still good though!

I get a fair amount of time with this scent, about 6 hours until it's completely gone but that first 30 minutes is very potent so be careful.

JusttheFactsMan

#92 of my "Tour de Fragrance of 250 scents in 250 days, and we have another pleasant but unremarkable . Definitely a scent with many notes I usually like but kind of a chewing gum fruitiness. And of course stupid and gimmicky packaging this house loves for some reason. Sweet, a bit feminine, a lot juvenile. Like every other EDT it projects well for a half hour, becomes a skin scent for a couple of hours, then it's gone. You'll need another application at lunch. Definitely not for grandad. I ordered a full bottle to give this a real chance. It's not offensive, but not worth keeping in the rotation.

Trab

Apparently - Lattafa Hayaati Al Maleky ( the blue bottle ) is ( for abt 80%) a copy of this for those who want a cheaper alternative to this fragrance

drummertama11

These are thoughts I’ve had over the past year of owning this fragrance: The late drydown has this amazing sweet and muddy-earthy smell to it!! Almost has a hint of Orris Root in there somewhere, it’s not listed but I get that hint of orris. VERY underrated fragrance! Receives a lot of unwarranted hate for being “tacky” and “sweet” etc.

Spray this on your skin and experience how much this changes and evolves! The late earthy notes are what make this one top-tier imho. Don’t give into the hate-hype.

nba.cosmin

It radiates strong and last very good !

Blankman

How does the bottle get so much hate? Its cool as hell! The fragrance is a crowd pleaser, so of course the niche lovers hate on it. It maintains the lavender note through the drydown and is just a fun fragrance. Is it groundbreaking? No. But it is a compliment getter and I really like it.

LONG N STRONGG 💪😈🤖 PROJECTS HARDD

Thranduil

A charming lavender, citrus, and a dash of sweet vanilla perfume.

With how hated Phantom is, I expected a repulsive scent but Phantom smells superb.

I mostly like how rich the lavender smells, and the vanilla helps me like Phantom all the more.

I don't find the robot bottle tacky or dumb. I find that it fits in with Paco Rabanne's aesthetics when it comes to his fashion designs; lots of metal and mirrors.

Overall, Phantom is a good perfume that will please those looking for a sweet and fresh lavender scent.
And the cute bottle is a bonus.

Christitus1

Very classic very likable lavender/citrus profile. Reminds me of other scents - yes. But they were scents that I liked. Maybe gucci II por homme or that prada purple from 2007 or so. This one also has an extra depth
It's a crowd pleaser. Nothing wrong with a crowd pleaser. Noticeably better than other similar scents. Everyone always wants unique. A Cat urine and a bird nest combo smells unique, but I wouldn't want to wear it. A scent you can get close to some new people with.

fragrantlyenhanced

cloying citrus opening, sweet confusing mess, citric acid vibe. smells all over the place. had to wash it off. fuckin hell. i actually like the bottle + points for goofy bottles. but the scent is like sweeeeet, citrusy that smells kinda purposefully made to smell like plastic n acid??? is that the robot vibe? no way they smelled it and were like yeah GOOD! tried to wear it rlly did. its unique i guess.

Barisbaltax

The bottle may not appeal to everyone due to its different design. I think the juice inside is unisex because of its lavender and citrus sweetness. It attracts more young men because of the sweetness and the packaging. I can see that. Good performance, lasts for hours.

gandrasta

add lavender into 1 million lucky, toned down ozonic notes a little bit and put it in a ridiculous bottle. There you go Phantom. Decent projection and longevity on my skin

Lhomme_Juanco

Yeah yeah the bottle is corny. The smell might be towards the bottom in the citrusy gourmand category but it’s pretty solid.
Right after spraying I get this gourmand citrus that is very similar to 1 million lucky.
When it dries down it smells almost rubber like and very soapy
Considering the price and smell as well as decent performance, if you can get past the corny Paco bottle it’s a good fragrance up there with ultramale and Eros

benlippi

@djbabybenz it’s crazy you say that because my brother was playing that song when I was trying this on. 😳😳😳😳

Lemony creamy coconutty opening, nice earthy sweet vetiver on the dry down. I find it very cozy. I love it. And the bottle is a cool addition to my collection. Above average performance. 9/10

djbabybenz

My best description of this fragrance is if the song “Alright” by Jamiroquai was a smell. Very strange and funky.

averagechanelfan2389

smells alot like 1 million lucky to my nose with an added weird note in the back

Parfum Prononcé

Pay attention to the reviews with the most balloons.
This is sweet, odd, a bit of a mishmash, but the lemon up top, the lavender and vanilla with the weird earthy note, somehow works.
I enjoy it, and “I’M A MAN. I’M FORTY!”

i smell like tren

It's a good fragrance guys. Certainly has more depth than whatever they've been releasing this year with these 3 note fragrances

WillyBadAss!

I’m 55 and I love this fragrance. Young ladies in their 20’s to older women in their 70’s have asked me what I was wearing at work, church and stores. I rotate this along with GIT, Chanel AHS, Mont Blanc Individuel and Royall Vetiver Noir. The above fragrances mentioned, get me the most compliments.

Stenbuck

Absolutely wonderful fragrance. The vanilla and citrus accords really shine through all the way from the first spray to the dry down. Excellent fragrance if you want something sweet with a touch of freshness that doesn't totally lose is "masculinity". It is a really unique and fun fragrance!

Smelly-cat88

I love it

spodongle

Phantom is SUPER underrated, it has a lemony zest to it but it’s actually really nice and satisfying.

BananaXango

This might be the worst smelling thing I've worn. The top notes smell nothing like lemon and are loud. My first impression was canned pineapple. I was hoping for the drydown to release some pleasant notes but all I can smell is the unmistakable scent of raw, crushed cumin seeds sitting on top of lavender. When I wear this in high heat it smells like curry, and absolutely not in a good way. It surprises me the diversity of responses this perfume gets because the last thing on the planet it smells like to me is an orange creamsicle or a coconut. Some of those notes are buried so deep under whatever the "smoke" is that I would never pick them up without sticking my nose directly on it. Do not blind buy this stuff.

TBonetheFella

This is absolutely a night scent. To be honest this is a great scent for those who want a designer bar/party/club scent that doesn't smell like every other men's designer scent out there. I think this gets a lot of unnecessary hate, but it does smell very "basic." You will turn heads not because of intrigue as to what you're smelling, but how strong the smell is. For the first 1.5 hours of spraying this it is DOMINATING. I enjoy it occasionally, but this is a scent that can be hard to pull off consistently during weeknights/days. The lavender, smoke, and vanilla are the most dominant notes in this scent 100%. In short it's an really powerful clean sexy scent that is a very safe crowd pleaser.

caffeinatedpony

If you're going to wear this, WEAR IT LIGHT. This stuff is stronger than a MF. Not awful, but loud.

screamadelica

this doesn’t really have that generic feeling that most other men’s colognes have to me. at least it’s a bit more interesting. i really like the bottle, too.

Sweetboy05

I don't get the hate for this. The scent is fine, I don't care what anyone says. Y'all wanna get on these sites and complain that companies are putting out boring, generic that lack depth, inspiration, CHARACTER, (that's laughable) and whatever else you want to call it. You want something original, and while this may not be original in terms of smell, at least there's the bottle. I mean, how many fragrances do you see with a bottle design like this? There are plenty of original scents out there. After all, that's what starts a line in the first place and gets itself flankers. *GASPS!* An ORIGINAL SCENT! *THE HEAVENS OPEN UP AND THE ANGELS SING THE PRAISES OF PERFUMERY*. And the scent itself is not as bad as people are making it out to be. You don't have to like it, but to me, it's good. There's only so much perfumers can do with notes in the world of fragrances. There's only so many note combonations they can put together to make these wonderful pieces of art that take a lot of time and effort for you fragheads to just crap on them. They have to think about how they're gonna make the fragrance, gotta think about the ingredients, the oils, the tools, the process, the time, the bottle design, etc. There's so much more to perfumery than what you think. Maybe if you take a moment and stop caring so much about "inspiration", "character," "depth", blah blah blah, (still laughing about that) and take and appreciate it for what it is, you'd probably find there is nothing wrong with and that your nose is just biased or whatever. So either take the fragrance or leave it. Y'all keep raising your expectations higher and higher without regard to how much pressure you can put on these perfumers, (and this can applied to other things with devoted, die-hardcore fanbases, like TV-shows, movies, books, stuff like that.) And is it really all that surprising that brands have lost their "creativity"? At this point in time, it's getting harder and harder for these brands to do anything really NEW. There have already been tons and tons of scent profiles and DNA's that have been explored. There are literally THOUSANDS of fragrances out there. What else can they do? What else can perfumers think of? What other kind of note combonations are truly unique? What else is there? They (kinda) know that they're making them for you, as well as the general public, which, we all know is the MAIN demographic they're going for ANYWAY. IT'S CHEMICALLY SCENTED WATER IN A BOTTLE! WHAT ARE YOU ALL FUSSING ABOUT!?
Anyway, I'm done with my little rant.

edit: I did not write this post to come at anyone or sound hateful in any way. This is just hatred towards particular fragrances I've observed over time and I finally went ahead and registered myself in to write my own reviews. These are just my opinions and you can feel free to disagree.

paolarose1

Bought this for my husband. Sprayed it on him at the store, initially I was liking Born in Roma Men more. But this one after it dried down was delicious on him!!!!! Smells so good on him. Definitely smell the vanilla. Sexy musky but hint of sweetness. LOVE

Smelly-cat88

Love it and the girls also love it

Ceau de Parfum

Earthy, man. It makes you keep smelling your wrist. That AI hit SOMETHING on the HEAD here. I keep using this stuff.

Bergamet

Phantom is a men's fragrance created by Paco Rabanne, a Spanish fashion designer. It was first released in 2020 and is known for its modern and futuristic scent profile. The fragrance is described as having a fresh and invigorating opening of lemon, ginger, and spearmint, followed by a warm and sensual base of vanilla, tonka bean, and amberwood.

The fragrance has received mixed reviews from consumers and fragrance enthusiasts. Some appreciate its fresh and modern scent profile, while others find it to be too generic or lacking in complexity. Ultimately, the perception of the fragrance will depend on individual preferences and experiences.

I used AI to generate this review.

I_isyour_dad

Used to love it (during summer) but just the lower notes are god awful (mainly during the winter). The upper and middle notes are amazing just the lower smells foul and dirty.

TripleA

Right so the very first time I tried this, i thought it smelled liked a bunch of Geranium which made it feel super feminine, and it lasted for 30 mins. In other words, I was not impressed at all.

I just found a clone of this by Sapil perfumes called Iconic (not on Fragrantica), and my gosh does this smell so so good. I am obsessed with this juice. I get sweet coconut and pineapple, and it lasts all day. Its my dumb reach for the price and there is somthing super addictive to it. Great fragrance, just get the dupe if you can.

Serg24

First spray smells like sweet coconut. I enjoy the opening.lavender kicks in nicely. It's underrated give it a week.blind bought it cause I like the Robo Bottle.

iJokster

My girlfriend really loves this perfume, as she loves sweet fragrances. Super sweet orange-lavender opening that dies down to a strong vanilla with a bit of lavender. The die-down is very nostalgic to me and I can't get enough of it.

j3ang_cologne

literally smells like the cheap ice cream stick .

Patj1994

Immature, cloying, nauseating, obnoxious, synthetic sugar bomb.

Afc_Croatian

I must say I am one of the few that actually enjoys this...
It must be a nostalgic scent to me already or something but the opening reminds me of summer as a kid.
The opening straight up smells like an orange popsicle, it must be from that zest and citrus opening but it is very enjoyable to me. I would say this is strictly for the summer.
The hate on Paco Rabane fragrances in general are pretty salty... People love to hate or they have something out agains the brand.

jbinner88

I have absolutely no problem with the bottle for Phantom by Paco Rabanne. Just different. On the initial spray, the strong lavender and lemon combination may sting the nostrils a bit, but it dials down after a few minutes and becomes a frosty pina colada scent to me. It makes me think of a tropical vacation, until it dries down to a somewhat thicker vanilla and lavender combination. This fragrance really changes from top to dry down and I really appreciate that. Sweet and lemony for sure. I would recommend this as more of a casual scent for slightly cooler weather.

ava96

On my boyfriend thiis smells like watermelon, but in a very sexy way.

AugustReyv

I dont know why this gets so much hate. I love Phantom. Very sweet in the opening, I also love the drydown as the sweetness gets toned down a bit and its very nice.

FlexYoFace

I like this way better than Eros edt. I don't get how the same reviewers can bash on the sweetness and then turn around and say they love clones of Ultra Male, or some other niche hyper sweet boozy vanilla or tobacco fragrance. It's just a sweet green scent, the only thing unique about it, is the fact that it is green. I think it sort of fills a missing gap in the green category since Eau Sauvage Parfum was replaced with the modern Sauvage. If you like this type of smell and think it's too youthful or childish, try YSL Eau Sauvage Parfum.

Cale0214

This stuff is wonderful, when you first spray it, it’s very overwhelming but when it drys down it’s amazing. The lavender really pulls this entire fragrance together

Lui17

Oh what a smell, The citrus lavender fruity smell which settles into a smokey lavender smell after some times, I can picture the scent and smell it that is how brilliant it is.

Coopz_

I love this stuff, underrated asf, opening is extremely overpowering but the dry down is heavenly, leave it dry down and you will see how this is fantastic. Earthy vanilla, and Smokey, fairly unisex

scarlett10

Its not bad as people say. Its good for club and night

bloodorangesoda

Smells like rhubarb on a hot day. It's very stem-y and when worn in the heat it is overwhelmingly strong. The vanilla and lavender are there in the background but the fruity/stem-y top note is front and centre. I like the concept but the execution is a bit lacking. It's one of those scents you can almost feel going up your nose. I didn't find the dry-down too different from the opening but that could also be because it performed poorly on my skin. Despite being super strong for the first hour or two, it disappears all together after that. I initially thought this would make a good summer fragrance but it is marginally better in winter.

beta-ionone

Almost blind bought this for the bottle, glad I didn't. A few of Paco Rabanne's fragrances have always been on the sweet side and that's why I am not a fan of them for men. I guess because of that they are kind of unisex. Not that men aren't allowed to smell sweet but I'm old fashioned and I prefer masculine scents to smell clean and fresh, or woodsy and spicy. This one was weird; it opened up with a fruity scent of banana mixed with some kind of mustiness like fresh men's sweat. Kind of strange and off putting. Now that odd scent has gone away and I can appreciate the other notes. It smells like your average mens fresh showergel citrus and tart apple fragrance but with the sweetness of vanilla added. Going to have to sample it again so I can convince myself to own the robot bottle. 😂

CavemanDungeon

Catchy bottle, Catchy scent.

It's quite literally, just that. Is it original? Not really. Is it the best in the category of similar scents? No, not really either. But it's still a pretty damn decent dumb reach fragrance. Especially if you like them sweeter and punchy at the start.

It really does have a similar sweetness to JPG Scandal and Le Beau (Probably the vanilla), but it's just different enough to where you can own all three and change them on each day and still smell different. I think the majority of the hate just comes in because of the funky bottle which Paco Rabanne is somewhat well known for, and that it tries to appeal to the younger audience. But I think it's just to show you that it's a "playful" scent, which it kinda is.

Once the dry-down starts to push through and the sweetness mellows down, it almost reminds me of Terre D'Hermes edt and it's earthy-like scent at the start. It gets classy, masculine, yet still maintaining some of it's playfulness. I think this is where Phantom shines the most, the sexy, metallic, earthy dry-down. I think you can still rock this even if you're reaching early 60's, it's all about that confidence, which this should give you plenty of.

So hey, don't be a hater and give it a few sprays. You might be pleasantly surprised, or go for JPG Scandal or Le Beau, can't ruin anything with either of those.

MountainDewd

I work at a fragrance store with probably over a 1000 perfumes/colognes and this abomination is the only one that gives me a headache.

MuscularMan27YO.

Got a sample of this. Its definitely not really bad, but not good either. This had that invictus victory i really like as a base with Added citrus and Apple as sour Notes and a bit smoke and leather for me .Its an example where less is better. This is just a mess in notes for me.

BigBroNaki

Imma be real, I purely bought for the bottle. Thought it looked cool on the shelf. The scent was a second priority but I'm still quite content with the fragrance.

I've sprayed it multiple times, and I still don't know what it smells like exactly. By no means it's a bad fragrance, I just can't put to words what it is. It's like there's a constant rotation of a few smells at the same time, interchanging every millisecond. What I pick up in this olfactory tornado is lavender, lemon, earth, smoke and vanilla. Also slight hints of some sort of soapiness and a pina colada. It's kind of weird how it goes in the fresh direction but also like creamy/vanilla and also earthy.

Personally I like the smell, people really like to overhate on this fragrance but it's really not that bad. I let my friends test it as well and they all liked it. My only gripe is how mass appealing this fragrance is. Since it's such a polarizing scent I'm kind of afraid of wearing it in public. Definitely not a very safe scent in comparison to mass appeal monsters like YSL Y, Dior Homme or Sauvage or Bleu de Chanel. While I do wear a few risky scents/not so mass appealing at times, I am extra doubtful with this one. So far I've been only spraying it at home because I am afraid people will not like how this smells. Will try it out one time when I go out with people I know and see what they think of it. Till then I'll nicely display this little fella on my shelf.

SenselessReviews

A fragrance called "Phantom" in a robot-shaped bottle? It makes as much sense as these past fragrances:

-- "Talking Smack" by Will Smith in a bottle shaped like a foot.

-- Coty's "Judge Judy: Verdict Sexy" perfume in a bottle shaped like the Hindenberg.

-- Replica's "Daniel Craig's Unlaundered Drawers" in a bottle shaped like an Inuit igloo.

-- Steven Seagal's date-night fragrance "Whisper Nonsense to Me" in a bottle shaped like a Japanese dildo.

-- "Dolly" by Dolly Parton in a bottle shaped like an ass.

Incongruous presentation aside, "Phantom" is described as a fougère-green accord (like you or I know what the hell that means). It has all the sensual freshness of lavender and rose, heightened by a touch of marshmallow fluff. It makes our hands shake, our knees wobble, and our nostrils clog up like an air duct inhabited by Bruce Willis.

Longevity for "Phantom" is about 45 minutes, just enough time to write the next three "Fast and Furious" screenplays. Though marketed to men, it is as unisex as Pat. The perfect scent for a Jewish circumcision ceremony!

Floppa

It smells amazing! Just wished it lasted longer, and don’t be scared of the Lavender and vanilla! It’s still masculine without being over-bearing, really love this fragrance

imparky

This fragrance is overhated. I remember hating it when I tried it at the mall. Then, I got the sephora pack for Christmas and decided to try it out. The dry down is so clean and nice. It almost smells classy.

Tsvetii

As a lady, I really liked the perfume. 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Unisex, but definitely sexier on a man. I really fell in love. After 15 minutes it develops wonderfully. Cute, sweet, beautiful sexy and cuddly. More for young people in their 20s/30s. In my opinion, it is suitable for every season and occasion. The women's Famme version is also very nice. I would buy them both. ❤️❤️ 100/100 🤌🏻🤌🏻

Andreascool1

I really disluke this fragrance, smells like a sweet synthetic mess😵💫

Sumsar

The opening of this one reminds me of One umbrella for two. That strawberry cake accord. 🎂

pilotdc

Lavender heavy but not a fougere. I weirdly get a piña colada accord in the first 2 or 3 hours.
Phantom is interesting but not very pleasing to me. Thumbs up for the sprayer though, had nice control.

CNote

Not a blind buy for people looking for a typical "masculine" scent. I tried this out looking for something new for my husband, but as soon I as I took a whiff I knew it was better for me! This one wears sequins and is ready to go clubbing and jump on stage for a killer Whitney Houston solo during karaoke. The sweet smoke / patchouli / vanilla /vetiver draws me in. A pleasant surprise. The fruits are very prominent to my nose. I'd confidently wear this knowing it would work with my chemistry. I plan to purchase.

baraninka1987

My husband got this for Himself last year I think bottle took his interest …. Ufff this must be The worst of all smells thank goodness is running low now ….. it’s like mosquito repellent or the spray to kill the fly around the house 🪰 I guess if you want to keep the ladies on the good distance from your man - it’s a great option for a present 😂🎁

tuturudka

For me this is a copy of 212 VIP - totally the same fragrance and everyone around me thinks so. Not unique but not an easy to imitate scent, a little bit more expensive than what it is but I am absolutely OK with it. For me the lavender note is far away from barbershop-typical fragrances, so it saves the day as I cannot stand anything smelling like cleaning detergent.
