SEOUL, June 23 (Yonhap) – A Hollywood blockbuster film “Top Gun: Maverick” starred by Tom Cruise, opened at number one of box office.

According to the Korean Film Council (KOFIC) on the 23th, “Top Gun: Maverick” topped the box office, attracting 188,000 viewers on the day of its release.

A Korean film “The Witch: Part 2, The Other One,” which has been at the top of box office for a week since last 15th, slipped to the second place. The share of sales as of the 22th is 23.0%, showing half degree of decrease, compared to the share of sales on the 21th, accounted as 45.2%.
