Russell Westbrook got his first win as a member of the LA Clippers on Sunday night, and it came in a roaring comeback in the second half. The Clippers looked to be approaching a sixth-straight loss, with none worse than this one would have been.

Trailing by as many as 15 points to a Memphis Grizzlies team that was missing Ja Morant, Dillon Brooks, Steven Adams, and Brandon Clarke, the Clippers were in danger of reaching a new low point. A second half comeback that was fueled by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George was enough to defeat the shorthanded Grizzlies in what was Russell Westbrook’s first win as a member of the Clippers.

Westbrook was asked about his first win with the Clippers after the game, and said it felt good. He reiterated several times that the energy in the building made it even that much more fun.

"We did a good job of closing out the game tonight, getting some defensive stops. I think they scored [17] points in the fourth," Westbrook said. When asked what the Clippers are capable of, he said, "I already know. My job is to keep instilling confidence in Paul and Kawhi to do this every single night. The rest of us do our part, we're gonna be a hard team to stop."

Westbrook finished his postgame media session by saying that not only was this game fun, but basketball in general is fun, and that should always be the case.
