在全球暖化、疫症肆虐的地球，人類如何跟自然世界中各物種共存，是個重要且急切的議題。最新近的跨領域學術研究也在思考「後人類」和「人類世」的問題。動物與人類互相依賴的需要越來越重要，而兩者之界線越來越模糊。
本課程將分成以下兩個單元進行探討：
單元一：動物丶生命科學、倫理
單元二：動物與人類之異同與連結: 智性丶哲思丶與舞動
能力項目說明
本課程以跨領域跨學科的合作方式授課，從生命科學、心理學丶哲學和表達藝術等多方思考動物對人的意義，以謙卑而開放的態度，試圖了解動物的人性，和人的動物性，以及兩者的差異。

How can we assess pain in humans and in animal models? In this lecture, first, I will briefly explain the underlying mechanisms of pain. I then proceed to explain how pain can be induced in experimental settings and how the responses are evaluated behaviorally and neurophysiologically. Finally, I will discuss differences between acute pain and chronic pain. |
